Robert
Macquisten
joined the firm in 1991, after 5 years of experience in Alberta in a general
litigation practice, which included a significant portion of municipal
law litigation. Bob has continued his litigation practice with our firm,
focusing solely on local government cases. To date, he has compiled an
impressive track record in construction law, land use planning disputes,
environmental law, class actions, tax collection, insurance claims defence,
prosecutions, injunctions and other municipal related work. In addition,
he lectures in the Investigative Skills and Bylaw Enforcement course at
the Justice Institute, as well as presenting local government topics at
professional conferences and seminars. He served on the executive of the
Municipal Law Section of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association
and is the past Chair of the Section.
