David Pilling brings a diverse background to the solicitor's group at Staples McDannold Stewart and to our local government clients.
Since being called to the BC Bar in 2002, David has acted as general counsel to first nations throughout BC, advising them on everything from governance issues to economic development initiatives, and will continue to do so at Staples McDannold Stewart.
His diverse experience also includes acting for and advising institutional lenders, commercial landlords and small businesses on corporate, commercial and real estate transactions, areas that continue to be relevant to local governments in B.C. as their enabling legislation evolves.
David now advises local governments on a wide range of topics including real property and development matters, business agreements, corporations, first nations' issues and land use.
