Kathryn
Stuart was called to the BC Bar in 1992 and practices in both the
solicitor and litigation groups of our firm. She takes on high profile
and difficult prosecutions, such as the enforcement, by way of dozens
of injunctions, of a regional district Clean Air (no smoking) Bylaw. In
addition to bylaw enforcement, she does a variety of municipal defence
work for our local government and health authority clients. She also advises
our local government clients on the broad range of legal issues affecting
them. As well, she is a very competent real estate solicitor with extensive
experience in the municipal aspects of real estate law. Kathryn lectures
in the Investigative Skills and Bylaw Prosecution course at the Justice
Institute, on Bylaw Enforcement at the Municipal Administration Training
Institute, and on Municipal Law for Capilano College.
