Amy Coad is a member of our litigation group. Amy was born and raised in Victoria and is proud to call Victoria her home. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Victoria in 2012 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2016. During her legal studies she completed a term at the University of Victoria’s Law Centre where she represented clients in both criminal and civil matters.
Amy was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017. She articled with and began her legal career at a reputable insurance defence firm in Victoria where she represented a range of individual and institutional clients. Amy’s litigation experience includes defending clients in personal injury, insurance, municipal, contractual and property disputes. Amy has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and various administrative tribunals. Prior to joining Stewart McDannold Stuart, she maintained an ICBC defence practice in Victoria.
Outside of work, Amy is an avid baker and enjoys travelling and exploring the natural beauty of Vancouver Island with her beloved mini-Australian shepherd.
